The company's name PROGEGNO is a "virtual" Italian word, derived from the following syllables:
PROGetto= plan, projekt, sketch
disEGNO= design, styling
Our focus is always on the automotive sector – taking inspiration from our affinity to Italy, as well as to the general association to aesthetic appeal and emotional cars with beautiful models.
PROGEGNO is a wordplay. PROGEGNO ® is registrated as a registered trademark at the "Bundesdeutsches Patentamt".

After a well-grounded training in the field of design and the accumulation of operational experience (within projects at prestigious development companies) our decision formed to act as freelancers.
In January 1998 the company was founded by Holger Nittel, Dipl.-Ing. (FH). Since January 2002, Uwe Berger, mechanical technician, has been representing the company as a partner. This led to the corporate name PROGEGNO GbR.
A further change of company name to PROGEGNO ENGINEERING GmbH took place in April 2017.
